Terms of use
The short version: this is an unofficial reading tool, a retailer's scan is the only confirmation that pays, and you can leave whenever you like.

What this app is
CO Lottery Scan reads a photograph of a Colorado Lottery ticket and tells you what it appears to have won, using the Lottery's own published results and prize tables. It is an independent tool: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Colorado Lottery.
You must be of legal age to play the lottery where you live, and at least 18, to use the app.
Results are never official
Every reading is a second opinion, including a confirmed win. Only a retailer's scan or the Colorado Lottery itself can validate a ticket and pay a prize. Check every result before you rely on it, throw a ticket away, or claim a prize.
The app does not buy tickets, hold tickets on your behalf, claim prizes for you, or improve your odds in any way.
Membership, trial and price
Scanning can be tried free for 7 days. After that, membership is $4.49 a month or $44.99 a year, and renews automatically until cancelled.
You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. If the app is installed from a store, the store's own billing terms and cancellation steps also apply.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself: anything done through your account is treated as done by you. You can delete any ticket from your history, and you can ask for your account to be removed through the Feedback page.
Accuracy and availability
A photo can be blurred, glare can hide a number, and a ticket can be printed oddly. When the app cannot read something it says so rather than guessing. The app may be unavailable at times, and results may lag the Lottery's own publication.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided as is, without warranty, and no responsibility is taken for a decision made on the basis of an unofficial reading, for a missed prize, or for a ticket lost or destroyed after using the app.
Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the app changes; the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
